Antarctic season February - April 2009

Antarctic season 2008/2009 – The following pages tell the stories of my voyages to “The Ice” in early 2009. Besides from just enjoying, you will also get a realistic impression of what to expect in case you consider a voyage. All voyages were carried out with the M/V Grigoriy Mikheev, a Russian vessel which has capacity for 46 passengers.

Please feel free to download and use the images for private purposes (crediting or links are appreciated, if possible), but the copyright remains with the photographer (Rolf Stange, unless stated differently). Any further use such as publication in presentations, in print or with digital media etc, especially all commercial use, requires written agreement with the copyright owner. Please contact me if you need high-resolution files.

... and a Gentoo Penguin in the South Shetlands, displaying a slightly less royal behaviour

Neither penguins will last forever under Antarctic conditions …

Neither penguins will last forever under Antarctic conditions ...
