McMurdo Sound

McMur­do Sound is situa­ted in the sou­thwes­tern Ross Sea, bet­ween Ross Island with Mount Ere­bus in the east, the Ross Ice Shelf in the south and the Trans­ant­ar­c­tic Moun­ta­ins with the Dry Val­leys in the west.
